Terms of Service
These terms apply to the Lathe Works website and API, provided by Lathe Works LLC, Sofia, 1407, 83 – 85 James Bouchier blvd., office 3, Bulgaria. If you have a signed contract with us, the contract takes priority where it differs from these terms.
1. The service
Lathe Works collects data from external providers and public sources and delivers it through an API or as scheduled files. The data, networks, volumes and limits for each client are set in the client's contract and on its API keys.
2. Business use only
The service is for companies and professionals acting for their business. It is not offered to consumers.
3. Accounts and API keys
- We issue API keys to clients. Keep them secret and on your servers.
- You are responsible for calls made with your keys. If a key leaks, tell us at once and we revoke it.
- We may suspend a key that is misused or puts the service at risk, and we tell you why.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the data only for lawful purposes and in line with the GDPR and other data protection law. In particular, you may not:
- build profiles of individuals for surveillance, harassment, discrimination, or decisions about them with legal or similar effect;
- process special categories of data (health, religion, political views, sexual orientation and similar) derived from the data;
- sell or publish the raw data as a dataset, unless your contract allows it;
- use the data against the terms of the source networks that apply to it, as stated in your contract;
- try to get around key limits, or overload the service.
Where you use personal data from the service, you are the controller of your own processing and need your own legal basis. We sign a data processing agreement with you on request.
5. Prices and payment
Fees are set in your contract or written quote. We invoice monthly; payment is due as stated on the invoice. Failed calls are not charged. Prices exclude VAT.
6. The data
The data comes from third-party and public sources. We check it, but we cannot guarantee that sources are complete, accurate, or always available. Networks can change or remove data at any time. The providers and networks keep their rights in their platforms and data.
7. Availability and support
We monitor the service and fix failures. Service levels and response times apply only when they are in your contract.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect loss or lost profit. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.
9. Ending the service
Either side may end the service as set in the contract. Without a contract, either side may stop at any time. Credits used before the end are charged.
10. Law and courts
Bulgarian law applies. The courts of Sofia have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
